As part of the celebrations of H.M. the King’s 50 years on the throne, ten of the national Royal Academies chose to conduct a lecture series with the theme the Royal Academies through time and space. These academies have their significance in a time like ours. By being non-profit and independent from the state, they can stand up for free speech and free research.
“The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences through time and space” was presented (in Swedish) by the Center’s director, Karl Grandin, on Saturday 16 September at the Royal Academy of Arts. The lecture can be seen on that Academy’s YouTube channel, where other lectures will also be posted.
